How to keep important documents and credit cards money safe while in college dorm?

I don’t really want to buy a lock box since someone can just take the whole thing. How do i keep my credit cards, wallet, money safe? Should i hide it? Like in my dirty laundry? I need some tips, what do you guys do to keep your money safe?
