How can you rent a car after a car accident if you don’t have money, or credit card?

I was involved in a car accident where I was rear-ended and my car is not operable. I have to work and have no money for a rental car. I have no credit card or anyone who can loan me money. The insurance company of the person who hit me says I have to pay and they will repay me when claim is processed.
